In Deutschland.
My last trip with Richie was in Berlin! Finally met his Lyon JTA-mates, Mara and Chesca, too. Posted here are some of the pictures from my weekend in Berlin. We braved the cold and joined Sandeman’s free walking tour. We visited some of the major sights of Berlin, from Brandenburg Gate to Checkpoint Charlie. I bet these sights were probably very near each other, but the weather made it so difficult for us to walk around. Most of the good pictures are still in Richard’s camera since my freezing hands had a hard time operating my camera. Haha! Other pictures to follow. :)
Prague Weekend
It took me a train ride to Porto and two airplane rides to get to Prague. But it was all worth it. It was nice seeing the other JTA people from Germany, Austria, and Spain there. The weather was horrific though. It was 5 degrees on my first day. I was already wearing 4-5 layers and I was still freezing! We did about 2 walking tours. And boy did we walk around the city! haha! Luckily, our first day in Prague also marked the first day of the annual Christmas market.
Hopping on a train to Porto & Aveiro
Went around Portugal two weekends ago with Pearl, Natalia and Roman. Our first stop was Porto, a UNESCO site. Had the chance to try Porto wine for FREE!!!!! It rained during our stay in Porto, but the view was still wonderful, and the people were so warm to tourists, too!
The next day, Pearl and I headed to another town, Aveiro. The place was small, but it was different because it was filled with little canals. It is supposedly the Venice of Portugal. Good thing, it was sunny in Aveiro. I was able to accomplish so much in a few hours. We took the Gondola tour, went to the flea market, and visited the town’s museum for free in just 3 hours!
